Here are the measurements I need to make your garment fit well. If you have any trouble understanding the instructions, please send me a line.

Take the measurements with only your under garments on for the best fit.
These are the extra measurements for a more accurate fit.

Shoulder Distance in the Front

This means the distance between your shoulders in the front. Directly above your armpit, to directly above your other armpit.

Shoulder Distance in the Back

This means the distance between your shoulders in the back. Directly above one armpit, to directly above your other armpit.

Total Bodice Length

Tie a string round your waist and use that to know where your waist is. Measure from your waist in the back all the way over the highest part of your shoulder to your waist in front.  (Keep the string round your waist = it helps with the other measurements.)

Bodice Length Front

From the highest part of your shoulder to your waist.

Bodice Length Back

From the highest part of your shoulder to your waist in back.

Bust Length

From the highest part of your shoulder to the fullest part of your bust.

Bust Distance

The distance between the center of each of your breasts. (approximateley from nipple to nipple.)

Sleeve Length

Measure from the top of the shoulder directly above your armpit, to your wrist.

Skirt Length

Waist to however long you want it to be!

These four measurements are the basics for blouses, jumpers, and dresses. If you want to make sure of a better fit, take the other (non-numbered) measurements also.

1. Total Chest Measurement

Put the measuring tape around your chest right under your armpits and straight across your chest above the bust.

2. Total Bust Measurement

Again bring the tape across your back and under your armpits, but in front bring it around the fullness part of the bust.

3. Waist Measurement

Straight around your waist.

4. Hip Measurement

Measure the circumference of your hips at 9" below the waist or the fullest part.
